Dr. Christopher Schmit currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering as well as the Director of the Water and Environmental Engineering Research Center. Dr. Schmit's primary research interests lie in wastewater treatment, specifically in biological nutrient removal and anaerobic treatment of wastes.
