Project Objective
The objective of this technology transfer project is to plan and co-host a national transportation conference with the University of Denver and other university centers on transportation security and congestion issues associated with security enforcement, especially at border crossings.
Project Abstract
Transportation security is a critically important issue, nationally and regionally. The implementation of needed security measures may worsen congestion problems, especially at border crossings.
The MPC and University of Denver have formed a strategic partnership to promote a better understanding of transportation security issues, especially as they affect freight and cross-border movements. The initial objective of this partnership is to plan and sponsor a national conference that draws together speakers and audiences from across the United States, Canada, and Mexico and facilitates the exchange of ideas. More than one conference may be held.
